Apologies, it was this thread where I do agree that you did say that after you refunded them they agreed to pay by cheque as they preferred that:

I still think my initial concerns stand and you need to tread very carefully here. The buyer did use paypal which was refunded but of course that coud take several days to recredit his bank account by which time he had incurred bank charges as his cheque had also hit the account.

So my point is that this is an angry buyer before you even start with the additional problems and he is probably thinking he has run into a bad seller which means he is going to be more aggresive than someone who just hits a snag. Knowing that your buyer is angry I think my advice to tread carefully is valid advice as angry buyers need different handling to pateint buyers.

You asked for replys. This is life i'm afraid not everyone will agree with you or think that you have handled it correctly. If you just want people to agree with you and say how wonderful you are and what a bad evil person the buyer is. Then this isn't really the place to come. We all have different opinions by asking us you get them all those you agree with and those you don't

I recently returned my Vax to be repaired, via DHL in a strong sack as the OP states. I was VERY dubious about this as it did not seem remotely sufficent to me. But Vax said this was their procedure, and DHL took it happily.

Result? A brand new Vax for me as the old one was damaged in transit.
Not a reliable way to post a Vax at all IMHO.

Mine never got damaged so I had no reason to doubt the packaging, when I first used it I was very cautious but after it came back and went off again all OK I thought fair enough then maybe DHL are more careful than Royal Mail

Would it be possible that the buyer had a knackered vax and is trying it on??

Also for those having a pop at the OP about her '118 views and not 1 reply' comment......read the thread again.

How can she be complaining about the nature of peoples replies, as when she posted that comment, nobody had replied, hence her comment?!

THANKYOU for reading posts in the order theya re typed.

This is what i think has happened, its my initial thought. As I said I offered to buy these parts and send them onto him or him buy them and I refund them whilst I wait for DHL but he replied to say NO he has since bought a new VAX. Maybe he did but its a bit too convenient I think

Also i can not see why he would sign for something that was hanging out of the packaging clearly seeing the parts missing . He also told the driver this was an ongoing thing, whatever that means

It does sound really suss. Some people do that on eBay, they have a knackered item, buy one on eBay, then do a switch, or complain that the one bought is broken, when really it's their item that's broken.

A sh!tty thing to do, but I don't know how you could prove it?

I certainly wouldn't accept something where it is plain to see that it is broken!

Maybe ask the bloke to return it so you can check that it is your machine, as you have security marked it?
