Just from memory (dont have a nokia at moment myself) but generally similar for most modern phones

Menu -> Settings - > configurations and in there you have to set up an Access point for the MMS

The APN is the access point - which you have to select somewhere sorry I have not done this for a while.

A page here http://www.nokia.co.uk/get-support-and-software/learn-how/get-settings might help - if you use the settings wizard.

Basically you set up an access point on your phone and then change your mms settings to use that access point. The wizard might prove easier.

    You ain't kidding.
Borrowed me bro's 6300 to look at and it was not easy to see how to make changes on this model - normally its simple.

Closest thing I found is Settings->Configuration->Personal Conf. Settings and in there you can use Options->Add New to add a new access point for multimedia messaging (using the details supplied to you by your operator).
  • grrrr still no joy

so ive opened up add new access point

i have a box called data bearer and another called bearer settings

out of what i posted above what do i type

The data bearer is GPRS, don't know about the bearer settings (have again looked at my bro's 6300 - still confusing me).

    For the access point

    The APN is uk.lebara.mobi
Userid, password are WAP or WEB

Can Lebara not send the settings direct to your mobile (specifically for the 6300). They have that option on their Dutch web site (but as I said before they do not have a similar page for UK users).

But I think after all this hassle - it might be worth phoning them and asking for settings to be sent to your phone direct - when you get them (at least with O2 when I tried) - you get an option to apply those settings to your phone and job done.
  • if they had such a system i would expect a website link and the email from them said they had sent them

handset has been unlocked that wont make it any easier
things arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back then ;)
BH is my best mate too, its ok :)

I trust BH even if he's from Manchester.. ;)
