Transferring cash isa question

  • As I understand it, you send ISA transfer forms to the new ISA manager, who requests the funds from the old one, and chases them up as required. So if IF is your new ISA manager, send the forms to them, not Abbey.

You send the new ISA manager forms to the old ISA manager so they know where to transfer to.

Send them to your local branch and ask them to forward them on to the relevant department, or go into branch and ask where to send them to.
  • May I refer the good Lokolo to: (at this point the wretched forum won't let me post a link, so Google for ISA transfer Guidelines and follow the BBA link.

    It says in its preamble:

"The process below is based on the assumption that the ISA investor approaches the new ISA Manager to effect the transfer. On the rare occasion that the investor contacts his/her existing manager, s/he should be asked to go direct to the new ISA Manager."

and then goes on to detail the steps and processes.
