Hi Angie.
The most recent information we have to hand is that the Mortgage Rescue Scheme (MRS) cap in the South East is £235,000 and that the participating Registered Social Landlord (RSL) for the Kent area is The Moat Housing Association (you may already know this now)

And more information:But only 15 families have completed a process allowing them to stay as tenants in the homes they once owned.
Greater numbers have been through schemes set up in Wales and Scotland, but Northern Ireland is awaiting funding for its own version.
The 22 areas of England which the government considers as repossession hotspots include: Barking and Dagenham, Corby, Knowsley, Salford, Newham, Walsall, Redditch, Halton, Sandwell, Wolverhampton, Bolton, Reading, Swindon, Northampton, and Cannock Chase.
It also highlighted major conurbations such as: Nottingham, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Sunderland, Wigan, and Kingston-upon-Hull.

Quick update...
Spoke again to CAB today about Mortgage to Rent scheme. The case worker has spoken to our local council and presented our case to chief housing officer.
As we are BR they would now like a letter from OR on headed paper expressing he has no interest in our house. When I get this the CAB will fax it to council who can then present it to LHA and we will proceed from there!!
Not getting too excited yet but at least its a bit of progress of sorts. Phoned OR and left a message so hope he gets back to me soon. Im guessing we would need to pay for a valuation to prove its in Neg Eq.
Our alternative is Vol Repo which I would like to avoid but we may have no choiceHowever if we do need to private rent we would be entitled to local housing allowance which I had never heard of before so thats a bit of good news.

Sounds hopeful Angie, fingers crossed for you xThere used to be a street named after Chuck Norris, but it was changed because nobody crosses Chuck Norris and lives.0

Why can't I handle this without getting upset??
I have just spoken to my OR and explained about Govt scheme we are trying to apply for and that we need a letter from them on headed paper stating they are not interested in our house which is in NE, to start the ball rolling.
He started asking me all sorts of questions and now I feel like he thought Im trying to do something dodgy and Im just in tears and so fed up with feeling like I have no control over anything in our lives now.
All I want to do is try and make sure we have somewhere to live and I feel like giving up now. Why is everything such a battle all the time, I am fed up fighting for anything any more.:( Sorry to moan, just wish I could handle it all better sometimes.
Still need to compose an e-mail with my request and he will discuss with Line manager and get back to me next week.

NED-CAB, thanks for reply, lifted me when im feeling pretty down!
Soon after speaking to OR I phoned my Housing case worker at my local CAB and told him OR has asked me to put it in writing. He kindly then e-mailed me straight away so I have something in writing to forward to the OR concerning this scheme.
Wow, I am so grateful to CAB for help with this. After a pretty tearful evening I am determined to do all I can to try and make progress with mortgage to rent scheme if I can. If I fail then at least I know I gave it a good shot!!

Hi Angie,
just been reading through your post and it seems your having a bit of a battle with getting help through this scheme. I work for a local authority in the midlands and have completed several successful rescues and helped the families to stay in their homes without the stress of repo hanging over them.
I have also dealt with a case where the family had gone through BR.
If you have any questions please contact me on here and I'll get some contact details to you..
