The council didnt ring me back as promised so I phoned them.
They can only offer an appointment for next week at the earliest.
So, I have now emailed the Housing Association to put our position to them and see if they can help with negotiations. I didnt want to do this at this stage, because when I spoke to them on the phone last week they were urging me to'just sign the forms and get them sent back asap so we can complete'
I know whats going to happen, I will probably end up having to speak to the lender on my own, which I am reluctant to do at this stage as I have been told they don't usually negotiate shortfalls with clients but do with the local authority or the zone agent (HA).
I am thoroughly p****d off now. My husband is talking about starting to pack up the house now ready for eviction because it seems as though no one is willling to help us complete this mortgage rescue. He is saying we will be evicted because everyone is making it impossible for us to get through the process. I usually try and be upbeat and tell him we will get there, but to be honest I am losing my faith it in too now.:(:(

Right heard back from the HA already! They can not get involved in negotiations and as part of the rescue process they ask the lender to write off shortfall, however most lenders do not agree to this which is why we have been sent a shortfall agreement form. They also pointed out that if an agreement can not be made the lender may not agree to the rescue continuing.
At least I have had a direct response from them. They advised to contact our local authority and CAB for advice which is what I have been doing with not much success yet.
So what do I do, write/email the lender myself? or wait to see the LA next week? Im thinking I should probably just write/email the lender with our situation but am worried sick of dealing with it on my own, I thought if an official person such as the council mortgage rescue officer steps in on my behalf, maybe the lender would be more willing to co-operate?

maybe, just maybe if you draft a letter, post it on here, our good friends who are used to writing letters and dealing with slippery customers might just be able to help with a really good letter. I wish I could help you myself Angie I really do. It's a scary time, the not knowing now must be horrendous but if they're not going to agree they're just not, I doubt it matters who writes the letter or how good it sounds, equally if they will agree, they'll agree because it's what they want/need/should do and not because of a fab, well endorsed letter.
I can truelly understand why you don't want to go alone on this, it's come so far and took so long - it's actually pergatory to follow the thread now, I cannot imagine how you're feeling x0 -

not yet ! I emailed them the shortfall forms and a brief update of the mortgage rescue on Sunday eve, but got a reply that because the email was of a large size it would be forwarded after 6pm Mon eve when the IS was less congested.
So they should have it today and will wait to hear.0 -

Hi NN
I completely understand why you are worried about those announcements, but I am now so worn down with this fight, for the first time tonight I talked with my husband about the very real possibility now of repossession for us and losing this home.
All along I have tried to stay strong and convince him we can get through it and remain here as tenants. I have devoted months to this process, alongside an intensive college course to update my skills and get me back in the job market. We had to declare bankruptcy last year as well which has been an ordeal in itself. I have met all the obstacles head on and acted in whatever way I could to facilitate the mortgage rescue. I have lost track of the amount of time and hours I have spent trying to make this work for us.
But maybe it will all have been in vain? Who knows.
I hate the fact I might be discouraging others thinking of mortgage rescue and that is the furthest away reason why I post my experience. I want this scheme to help families facing eviction, I know what its like to live with the fear of losing your home and I have done that for the last 11 months.
I worry myself sick for my children and the impact it will have on them. They don't deserve it. If it was just me and my husband I think I would have given up long ago. He comes from the West Country, its our dream to move down there one day. When the kids have flown the nest and we are renting, as long as we can secure employment, we will be off like a shot.
But I cant walk away now, 'they' havent thrown us out of this home yet so maybe we have a slim chance to stay?
Will keep updating.
