Hi I have a contract with Virgin TV which I am 4 months into. I have no problems with the service but I am paying £61 a month for the package. I am looking at moving to sky as it is alot cheaper can I get out of my contract with virgin early? Any suggestions would be great, I am off to uni next month as a mature student and am trying to cut down my outgoings.

Just had a converstaion with them..apparently gotta pay £30.15 to terminate contract. Dunno if thats a flat rate or a calculation based on my contract terminating in 3 months0

Apparantly thanks to ofcom, the maximum Virgin can charge someone cancelling early is £120.0

HI
Just a quick update. I called Virgin and said I wanted to just keep my phone calls with them as I was moving to Sky whose equivalent package was cheaper and would give me a free Sky+ box. Virgin to keep me have upgraded me to the XL package given me a free V+ box and cut my subscription down to £34 a month. I am now a very happy girl0 -
Yeah, it does help to tell them you're going elsewhere, they don't want to lose too many customers. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0
