HI MF
its been some years since my CCCS call, but if i dig into the dark depths of my memory i think you'll need- plenty of time. The call can last 1 hour or more, so switch off doorbell, mobile etc
- Details of all your incomings
- Details of your outgoings
- Details of all your debts
- Pen and paper to make notes.
They'll help you decide what your best option is for your circumstances.
They advise on how to deal with your creditors and send you a great info pack full fo advice and letters that you can copy and send to creditors, advising them that you are seeking help with your debts.
Thats all i can remember for now (think i'll need a lie down after that ) but i'm sure someone with more recent knowledge will be along to advise you more.
Good luck
PS have a large mug of tea/water/whatever;) next to you while taking the call. The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter

Best of luck, Maidenfan - my experience of CCCS before BR was superb, they are helpful, honest, knowledgeable and efficient. Great start, they will advise you well. and btw my partner is solvent, careful with money, not got a debt to his name, I have made sure I am not associated with him financially AT ALL, no joint accounts etc. GOOD LUCK!!0

No need for battery or plug for blokes. I just put on America's Next Top Model, The Secret Millionaire (for a good weep) The Food Channel or Katie and Peter Getting Married / Divorced and he disappears....0

Hmmm Phil....I`m disappointed that you did`nt add a picture of energiser/duracell bunny
:D
Good luck tomorrow Steve....CCCS will want to go through all your income & expenditure & the debts that you have. They will make a conclusion based on that info. On the CCCS website there is a debt remedy that you could attempt & print so that you have the info that you need.
Let us know how it goes.

So the top and bottom of the conversation is as follows
I now have 2 options
Opt. 1 IVA
Because i have £185 left every month (Not inc the loan i pay, which is in mums name) the £225 i pay for the loan in mums name can be included in my outgoings with this option, i am told i will have to pay all of the £185 to my creditors for 6 years
Opt. 2 BANKRUPTCY
With this option the £225 for the loan will not be inc. in my outgoings, giving me a total of £410 spare each month of which the official receiver would want in the region of 70% each month towards my debts for the next 3 years
I was worried before the call, now i am at my whits end0 -
Pop up your SoA for us and some one will look at it as an OR will and see if you really have that much surplus.

Format to MSE and C&P in a thread.
Bear in mind that the IVA will be more rigid if you want to make changes because of a change in circumstances.
With an IPA in BR if you have a change in circumstances you let them know and they will reduce or suspend the IPA appropriatly with no fuss.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0
