Thank you fishface! Don't know how I get the food down that cheap really!! I do meal plan to within an inch of my life!! I think also having things that I can make in bulk for dinner helps keep the cost down. I do the same with lunch too. Just little thinhs too like making my own hummus to have is miles cheaper than buying it, also know what goes into it then too!!Official DFW Nerd no. 082! :cool:Debt @ 01/01/2014 £16,956 Debt now: £0.00 :j

Hello!
Just thought I'd update what I've been up to so far!
Worked all weekend at my part time job, pennies were very nice!! Haven't spent any money other than what I've budgeted for.
Friday night I went to my friend's house to collect a food order (I'd ordered a load of stuff in bulk so it was cheaper in the long run) there was loads!! Lots of fun!!
Food shopping was on Saturday, set myself a £20 budget and only spent £11!! And I got 2 £2 coins in the change so into the pig they went and £5 is set aside, might put this towards holiday spends as I only need another £15 to reach my target. Made macaroni cheese and there was loads left over so in the freezer that went!
Got a free dinner and pudding at work yesterday! Yum! And no breaking into my own food!:D
Today I have had to spend £1.40 to do my washing (have a laundry room and it is 70p a wash) but other than that not spent anything else.
Dinner is going to be a lush chilli con carne!! With enough left over to freeze for a couple more meals too! So got enough meals in my freezer and in to last the week.
Meal plan for the next two weeks:-
Tonight, chilli and rice
Tomorrow (Tuesday) Leftover pasta and sauce
Wednesday, Leftover macaroni cheese
Thursday, JPs with cheese and beans
Friday, curry and rice
Saturday, spag bol
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, dinner at grandad's (see below)
Wednesday, not sure yetcoming back from London this night
Thursday, Chicken and bacon risotto
Friday, spanish chicken with veg and rice
Saturday, not sure yetmight go out for dinner to celebrate exams being over (beautiful cheap Italian! Less than £25 for two of us to have main and pud each and a bottle of wine to share!)
Next week will be a cheap week as going to stay with my grandad in London for my exams Sunday to Wednesday. He and his girlfriend really spoil me!:D Lots of yummy food!:j
So that's me up til now!! Must get on with my study!!! Made a mini disc of me talking! Very amusing, hopefully will learn it all off by heart by next week!! Fingers crossed!!!

Just thought I'd post an update!!
Well, the credit card is almost gone, less than £200 left on it!:j Hopefully at least half of that will be gone in June and then the final bit in July. Next plan after that will be to get rid of the balance left on my laptop. That's just over £500 so hopefully it will take just a few months to clear that. Really getting into the swing of things now and trying to have as many no-spend days as possible.
Good news is I got a payrise at my part time job! So I now get a minimum of £44 a week! This week I will have done 4 shifts again so almost £100 there. Only downside is I have got some exams in 2 weeks time which means I need to go to London, no shifts that week then so no penniesnever mind! Can do more once the exams are over.
Food shopping has been good, some weeks have been getting it in at less than £15!! Extra 5er has been coming off the credit card.
I'm really pleased with myself as my debt started with the first figure being 8, now got it to 7 and it won't be long before it will be 6!:j Would never have thought this time last year that I'd be almost credit card and store card free!! Had 6 credit cards and one store card, this one with less than £200 on it is the very last one now!:D
Day off for study today so should really shoot and get on with it!!!:p
Hope everyone is well!!! xx
thats fantastic! theres hope for us all.
well done.Payment a day challenge:
