Im posting this on behalf of a friend. She and her boyfriend split up and they've got 2 children. He has a new girlfriend and when the children stay with him and his new girlfriend they are not very nice to them. The new girlfriend smokes in the house in front of the kids, they put them to bed with a dvd not a story and…

My advice (with tongue in cheek) is to advise the children to wet the bed regularly if they're not allowed up earlier than 8 a.m. when they need to use the toilet. After a couple of times of coping with wet mattresses and wet sheets, I think wisdom and common sense on that issue at least will start to prevail.
