If you are not technically minded, and dont fancy attempting to do what people have said.
Move things like "My Documents" to
and move most things that you can to free up space on C:
I always find people have itunes and fill C:'s and have nothing on
's
Have a look. If you need any help message me.0 -

I wouldnt merge the 2 partitions, you'd loose your recovery options, it would be simpler to just create a FOLDER on the bigger partition
and call it something simply like MYFILES then have subfolders, like mypics, mymusic, mymovies etc,
never rely on your backup cd's, you only need to scratch one without knowing it, and then you are up a creek without a paddle.
moving the files from C to D wont damage the files at all, it will just free up space on the C drive, you will not gain any space by merging the 2 partitions into 1, and you will loose the ability to recover.
small note: my sisters computer is like yours, she too has 2 partitions, reason, the recovery disc only has the recovery program not the recovery file, that is stored on the D partition.
in other words. if she deleted the recovery file stored on the harddrive the cd would be useless, i know as i have used her recovery cd.
as no one has mentioned this. if for some reason whilst you are merging the 2 partition with any of the mentioned programs and your power goes, "someone in the house causes the fuse box to switch," everything on your computer will be lost. in which case you will have plenty of storage when you reformat your harddrive and reinstall the os using said recovery disc's0
