I have a cunning plan. I am going to do a HHC in the garden, weeding etc. OH is due back in half an hour and I am hoping when he seems me out there that he will either help with the gardening or will start cutting the lawn. If it doesn't work then at least I will have done something out there!

Well I did my HHC and a lot more. OH came in after about 45 minutes but instead of helping me, quite helpfully put the dinner on and made me a well needed cup of tea. As I stopped to have it I looked back to see what I had done and was quite surprised at how much I had cleared. Our garden is really weed-ridden so we are completely clearing each bed, weeding thoroughly and then replanting. I already had 3 ready to plant in, started to clear 1 yesterday and have completely over-turned one this evening! I just need to get the weeds out tomorrow so I am hoping for a nice day again. Only 6 more flower beds to go!!!

I am really proud of myself and keep going back to look at my work. I wish I wasn't at work tomorrow, or had already done the spare room so I would have the whole time to work on the garden tomorrow.

    Hello all

been a bit awol this week. It's now the weekend for me as I've got a day's flexi tomorrow. DH and I were going to go out for the day but his dad has been taken into hospital with chest pains (has a history of heart probs, though when he was much younger) so Dh understandably wants to stay nearby. MiL has gone back to the hospital this evening, we'll go tomorrow if he's still in. Some flylady vibes and prayers would be very much welcomed!

On a more positive note the place has been kept ok this week, do need to do the bathroom and some other bits but nothing should take long. And my car passed it's MOT - always a relief! Had a half price one too.

May i have a star for the bedroom please? Probably the only star i'll get this week so I'm very pleased to get this one! :T:j:T Go me! GnB I've changed what you wrote to a more self-congratulatory comment! Be proud of your acheivement!

Jinky hope you are better soon

Grateful yeah she slipped in the kitchen on Monday and twisted her knee and hurt her back, she went to bed until yesterday as she couldn’t move – just getting to the bathroom made her nearly faint in pain despite strong prescription painkillers. She’s doing much better now, just stiff and bruised really. What work are you having done in your house?

Triker, big hugs honey, hope you are feeling better soon. Are you taking a probiotic drink too?

Dinx once you get used to your new routine with DS’s new school I’m sure you will be able to fit things in again, glad he’s doing well

GnB, hope your Dad’s pain eases up soon and that he finds things to do to occupy him while he has to rest

Achtunglady who is on your avatar? What a result on the desk! What a bargin!

Wilf I like the sound of the voile curtains, well done you on getting started with the things you need!

Sarah well done on having such a productive day yesterday

HWGA well done on all your hard work in the last few weeks and enjoy your time off

Jo, well done on keeping up with flying while you are settling into your new routine

Hugs Holly it’s so annoying when people don’t do what they should and go and Holly,do fun stuff when you are working hard to do the right thing

I've read the thread backwards and not completely caught up so I hope I haven't missed anyone out.

I've listed my pink sparkly glitter shoes on ebay and a nice blue sequinned photo album that we were given but don't need - sad to let them go, especially the shoes but needs must!

I WILL WASH UP tonight - this is more aimed at convincing myself than you lot! LOL! And tomorrow I will have a good tidy up in the LR as DH says if I do then he will do some ironing  which is a shock! I don't think he ever has before (at least since we've been married)! He's fed up with having creased shirts! :rotfl:

ETA: Hugs Rach, hope your FIL is ok
