I am leaving a&l for halifax reward account, apparently a+l value new customers over their current customers.
I have a couple of questions for my next move, first I can't pay in £1000 a month so I will have to take out some and put back in, my question is can I open another on line account and switch them back and forth or do I have to do it at a cash machine?
Also what's the rules on the switching service? as in can I switch from a blank account (no direct debits, no standing orders, no salary) or does it have to have one or all of those?
If I can get £100 off a+l in 3 months and transfer £1000 between hali and a+l I will get the £100 a+l bonus, the £50 hali bonus, as well as the £5 and the 5%. Any flaws in this plan please help me out0
