Tom Tom.
So clear simple & I've never had a problem with the route.0 -
Does anyone know of any Tom Tom deals0

Garmin rather than Tom Tom! Road signs and maps are more reliable than Tom Tom in my experience. (To give one example, turn right on the M6 - I don't think so!) My Tom Tom One gets lost each time it's used even with the latest free "map share" and purchased maps which seem to be particularly well out of date.0

don't buy from Halfords0

i'd recommend garmin too, i borrow one when i need one and they are excellent.
last long journey i went on was using a cheap no name one, stockport to north manchester was on the m61, come off onto the a580 and leave that at the south end of bolton.....erm no on many levels :eek:things arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back thenMercilessKiller wrote: »BH is my best mate too, its ok
I trust BH even if he's from Manchester..
all your base are belong to us :eek:0 -
I would also go for a TomTom, but don't buy one of the refurb units from some of the suppliers out there. They often seem to have problems and are also out of date on features.0

Garmin map accuracy is way ahead and I think the routing is better though I'd never say perfect. Has a penchant for narrow roads at times.0

Had tomtom's for a fair few years now....BUT changed last year to a Garmin 205T probably the BEST £130 I ever spent....
and £99 for lifetime map updates as well from Garmin...We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -
I had a navman which I bought for £90 when I got my first car and it never got me lost, however it was getting badly out of date (there were bridges in Glasgow that weren't on it!) so I bought the cheapest garmin i could find and it again has been great, I would never spend more than £100 on a satnav simply because by the time you buy them, some sort of roadwork will be going on somewhere and it will be out of date.0

Depending on how could you are at googling the navigo that ebuyer sell for about £50 is well worth a go as it can be easily adapted to use tomtom (amongst other) software and all with the lastest maps. The price tends to vary quite a bit - I picked one up for the parents at £43 (though seen it as high as about £58) and it works a treat - just like my tomtom one.0
