But before the bulls claim me as one of their own I am actually very bearish on the economy but I think the spin will be maintained until after the election and that people are generally so short sighted it is possible to bribe them with their own money at least in the short term...I think....0 -
So true. I don't think anything interesting will occur till after the election.
Still, I'll oblige with -8% down, just because there's been a slight blip over the summer, which I can't see being maintained over the winter in the face of rising unemployment.
Plus departing Labour are bound to want to make sure that the chalice they hand over is as poisoned as possible.
Cynical, but sadly, I do think this.0 -
It may seem odd, but I think this thread has pulled people together a bit. Those who have bothered to post a view anyway. A sort of stand up and be counted.0

Are you doing that mental prediction just to make mewbie's and brit's look a bit more normal?
Edit: I've added the smiley because mewbie is right, no one is taking the p*ss and I feel like I'm runing it. Ahem. I respect your prediction Mr Shaw and thanks for chipping in. Don't think we'll see 2% monthly falls for the next year, but stranger things have certainly happened.0 -
By proxy, are you saying I'm a bit of a genius for starting it then?
I also think anyone who is on this board and can't find it within themselves to make a prediction, even just for 'fun', should probably !!!!!!.0 -

Is that you Rupert / Broders? You can't go twice. Especially with the same guess you daft thing.0 -
Just for you Cleaver. I don't think that the problems that we face will have had the chance to work their way into the market by then (eg higher interest rates potentially pushing prices down), so I'm going to go for +2.8%. I haven't read anyone else's so as not to get ideas, with the view that they may fall a bit still longer term. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
