Had a 2 day stay at a PI in london last month, am a big fan of PI hotels, great value, lovely clean rooms, great breakfasts, how ever on this occasion, we seemed to have a much firmer bed than normal, on both mornings i awoke with a very uncomfortable back, when we arrived home, i suffered the same complaint for almost 4 days, i decided to make a complaint to PI for the first time, i contacted them via the website, logging in and giving my booking redf ect, that was 2 and a half weeks ago, i then again emailed and asked why my complaint hadn't been answered, no reply to that either, has anyone else had this problem with PI?. Do they generally reply or am i wasting my time? thank you

You must be joking?
Of course you are wasting your time. You are whining about something that isn't even important.0 -
If you suffered with the same complaint for almost 4 days when you got home then maybe it was your back and not the bed? Just a thought.0

I'm confused; did you
a - sleep well and wake up with a bad back
or
b - not sleep because of an uncomfortable bed?
I'm confused; if it was an uncomfortable night, then what did the reception say when you asked to be moved because the bed was too firm?0 -

no i didnt sleep well at all, the bed was extremely hard and lumpy, i dont think anyone is getting my point here, all i was asking is did anyone get replies from PI after a complaint, via the website, regardless of what it was about0 -

Why did you wait until you got home?
Why not speak to the manager at the PI or housekeeping to see if anything could be done
PI probably haven't replied due to the pure inaneness of your complaint0 -
PI have a goodnight guarantee
You should have lodged the complaint then
I find them having lumpy beds most odd
I stay in them for work prob about 40 times a year
They had a major roll out of new furniture refurbs etc..
All have brand new beds in and are more comfy than mine im ashamed to say"Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes."
All truth goes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Then, it is violently opposed. Finally, it is accepted as self-evident.0 -
Are you referring to their " A good night or your money back policy"? ( I think you have to follow the procedure in the leaflet they give you). But with a policy like this I bet they get a lot of complaints.According to this they have won an award in 2004 and ensure any complaints are rigourously followed up...

I once booked into a hotel and was pointedly given the leaflet ,and told about their policy,it was a last minute booking. I complained that night because there was a problem with the water and heating and got a total refund. Not responding at all is not good practice.0
