Indoor ariel

I am having problems. The indoor ariel in my room works fine with freeview. The reason why I have to have one is that the reception for TV in my area is bad. My sister got a new TV her first TV and ariel does not work properly as the picture breaks on some channels it is fine on BBC News but on ITV2+1 the picture breaks on a regular basis. I have used her ariel in my room and the same thing happens. When I take my ariel to her room it works.

Your aerial is better than hers then?
To get a decent Freeview signal you will do much better with a proper external aerial, sometimes it will work with a set-top aerial but often it will be marginal. A decent external aerial is what TV's are designed to work with.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
My brother suggested that I order her the same make.0

Well, it may do the job but (bearing in mind you say that reception is bad in your area anyway), a proper aerial would give you a better picture.
Some indoor aerials are little more than a bent piece of wire, others may be better. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
