What phone?
My 18 month contract has *finally* come to an end on my Nokia N95 8GB:beer: I am never going to get another 18 month contract again!
So I've been looking at 12 month contracts on Dial-a-phone as no one else seems to offer them much anymore (unless anyone can point me in the direction of some!).
So.....do I get the Samsung Jet, the Tocco Ultra or something else? I am after a decent camera (i love my N95 camera) and preferably a touch phone, for the lowest monthly cost (I don't mind paying up to £35 a month to get a decent phone though). Anyone any views on the above phones or any other suitable phone? I am a little lost having been out of the mobile market for 18 months now!!!!! (oh...and it must not be with O2 as I need to transfer my existing number and I believe I can only do this shifting to another provider).
By the way I don't use the phone that much - probably 200 mins a month calls - text about 50 a month max - I don't really use it for surfing the net unless away in a hotel with free wifi, but I do like a nice looking phone with a decent camera!

I wish people would SAY NO TO 18 & 24 MONTH CONTRACTS - that way might get better offers on 12 month deals (which are the ones I have ever enjoyed myself :rotfl:)
The best deals are gone by the looks of it on dialaphone - cheapest decent phone is LG Cookie (its not great but ok - I have it) - £40 a month and £16.25 after cashback.
Mind my deal with T-mobile will cost me nowhere near that
:D:D. 0 -

Well I certainly will never ever touch a 12 month contract again - the phone becomes so dated - the N95 is like taking a brick out of my pocket! LOL! We should form a club "Say no to 18-24 month-ers"!!! :T
Is the Cookie a decent phone though - if you compare it to a Jet - is there much difference?0 -
My previous phone was N95 on a 12 monther - I flogged it for £145 on mazumamobile.com
:D:D
They are offering £115 now for it now  or £126 .50 argos vouchers.
I normally just get rid of phones once I have finished recking them in 12 months
The Cookie is ok enough - but various problems if you have big fingers, the texting is not as easy as with other phones I have had.
The screen is good enough but not much you can do with touch screen I think (i.e. playing games just wont work for me).
No WiFi that I can tell but even if I had it - I would not bother twerping around trying to load little web pages.
It being touchscreen, you do have to lock the keys and keep unlocking to use it - otherwise it can ring someone by itself, rang my sis in US and it cost me £3.50 in call cost - the phone was in my pocket and dialled the number.
So you do end up using keylock a lot now.
Camera rubbish.
Have I put you off yet?0 -
Haha! Well sort of - I do like Wifi cos' when I go away I tend to use it rather than pay expensive hotel internet charges!!! I don't have big fingers but I would like Wifi really!
I really like my Nokia to be honest - although it has taken me 18 months to actually figure out how to use it!!!!! However the camera is superb so is the video - so I want something to equal that really.0 -
Sony W995 me thinks - screen looks a bit more robust than the Nokia n95.
£25 a month on 18 monther (oops) via phones4u with 400 texts and 3000 texts.0 -
vodafone web site shows 12 month deals - phone them and ask for the best phone with the best everything for the cheapest price :-)
And Three do 6 month deals (if you can find the web page) for £9 a month I think last I looked - but cheap phones.0 -
If you look at some of the vodafone deals you'll see that in many cases they give you the 24 month deal for the same overall price as the 12 month deal.

So on one deal you pay £240 for 24 months, on the other you pay £240 for 12 months. Both have the same minutes and texts.
