dial a phone cold calling

Hi yesterday afternoon i took a call from dap, i told the agent i was to busy to talk now,he said he would call back in 2 hours time, no call back (thank goodness), however when my husband checked our e mail that night I had a mail from dap confirming order for a phone etc, anybody else had this problem and how was it resovled, my husband spent half an hour on their 0870 No this morning, he ended up being told they had to talk to me direct due to data protection act, as the account was in my name. How can i have an account i never asked for??Guess i will have to phone tonight.

Don't mess about - go direct to Trading Standards - perhaps they can persuade the company its staff training is deficient

I would look to shove that phone in thier mouth if they do send it to your home address. Jokers these people. They deserve a slap or two.

Spoke to Trading standards, they said besides speaking to DAP send recorded delivery letter to DAP explaining what has happen, they felt it was bordering on being "fraud" so letter is on its way, also copy to "3 network" as that who is who they were placing the contract with, also spoke to DAP tonight and they apologised said they knew who called me and they would be spoken to and they will cancel the order straight away.Redex... think they got my details from orders we placed with them 2 years ago.
