Trying to book tickets with Monarch and they are saying if you use Paypal that there are no charges , want to sign up fo Paypal and have read the explanation on how it works, but is my money safe??
Personally if you think the airline are in trouble pay the extra and use your credit card. That way you can get your money back.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)0 -

Very true, I use Paypal quite a lot, always for ebay though, and yet to have any issues,These are my thoughts and no one else's, so like any public forum advice - check it out before entering into contracts or spending your hard earned cash!
I don't know everything, however I do try to point people in the right direction but at the end of the day you can only ever help yourself!0 -
Thanks for all the comments, we have decided that we will use the credit card just because of the protection afforded by it. I might consider Paypal for something under £50 maybe .0

Ive never had a problem with paypal with ebay items but have with an off ebay purchase, if the merchant hasnt got funds in their account (unlikely for a large company) if you need to make a dispute and win and they havent got funds paypal just say its not their problem and wash their hands of it. So yes paypal is safe for alot of transactions. For an airline that could go bust at any moment id say use a visa debit / credit card to be fully protected, it may cost a few percent more but its worth it if you have any problems0

Ahh it is safe, as such, but only until things go wrong.... have posted elsewhere about these scum, i've had em in court and won twice in the past! Now (as part of last payout) I am no longer allowed to use them, as my lawyer said 'why on earth would he fall victim to the same criminal outfit for a third time' - you should have seen their rep's face! What a sight......
Well only once in court but the other time they withdrew when I was sat with the judge - bummer, gutted!
I think they forgot i'd sued them a few months earlier and tried to say this was a one off error, obviously not cos I done em twice for the same thing within a year (few grand better off as well)
They is what is known in the market, as a shower of !!!!!!!2010 - year of the troll
