What do you want....? (Christmas)

  • I would like my eldest son to be settled into uni and have recovered from the depression he is currently suffering from. It would be nice if this could be the first year that my mil doesn't stand over our Christmas tree and make disapproving comments about how lucky we are, we have so many presents. :mad: She is lovely really but could do with learning when to keep her mouth shut.

    As for material things, I would like another cd of my daughter singing. My husband has a terrible track record for present buying so apart from some chocolate brazils I think money will be safer. In true mse fashion I think I am going to tell my three offspring to wait and buy me something in the sales. I would love a hamper but if my husband did that I dread to think what would be in it lol.
  • I'd love an emerald ring.. very doubtful it will happen though.
    So instead?.. mmm... no idea. :l.

    I'm working xmas day so maybe a nice meal for when i get home?
  • I think this is the first year I have actually had/written a Christmas list since I was about 8 but if i don't i know ill end up with random things that I never use from near enough everyone bar my mother in law who actually listens to me when i speak (she's crafty though cos if i mention something she writes it in her notebook and then refers back to it nearer to Xmas) very MSE of her.

    On my list this year are
    * Mentalist Boxset
    season 1 and 2
    * Michael Jackson in Bucharest DVD
    * Cooking Mama game for DS
    * Sims game for DS
    * Valentino Rossi autobiography
    * Calender - preferably Justin Timberlake - not into firemen!
    * iTunes Voucher
    * The Black Parade is Dead = Album/DVD - My Chemical Romance
    * 'Nina' by Nina Ricci perfume but I tend to get this as the safety gift each
    year!

    so nothing fancy or overly expensive. I don't ask for much.
    Time to find me again
  • Hi,
    usually my hubby waits until mid december to ask me what i would like for christmas ! but for some strange reason he has already asked me :eek:.

    so i wrote him a small list:
    patricia cornwall book
    jamie oliver new cookbook
    pj's
    and hmv vouchers so i can buy the wii personel trainer !

    thats it, i dont ask for much as i prefer watching others opening the presents i have bought them.......

    My wish list this year :

    • A large desk diary
    • Micheal J. Fox's book Always looking up
    • A DS of my very own :D no more borrowing DD2's
    • A pocket dragon called "Dragons don't do dishes" which is now discontinued :(
    • A (large) tumble dryer
    • I'd like someone to fit the new carpet I have rolled up on my staircase :confused:
    • I'd like someone to mend my dishwasher :confused:

    Ok I know the last 3 things aren't very likely but it is my WISH list.
  • Ohh! This year I would like to spend it with my OH alone and not be persuaded to entertain people like last year lol.

    I've had a little think about stuff as my mum has already asked, so far I have...
    Oil of Olay beauty fluid,
    A piggy calender (mum always gets my one)
    A new pot for sealed pot challenge 2010

    But that's it, not very exciting for a 25 year old!

  • All I want for christmas is my 2 front tooth.... hmm already have them so lets think...

    I'd be happy with no gifts, but a day of happiness, with no arguing, moaning or sulking (Its some of the adults who do this, not the kids), for me that would be perfect :)
    You cant take a step forward with both feet on the ground
  • My present to myself this year is going to be saving as much money as I can between oct and dec to spend in the sales! I aim to get at least 70% of my gifts for the entire year in the sales and hopefully I'll reap the benefits all year! The only gift I've asked for is a homemade selection box from my sister because I know how much thought she'll put into it and I looove chocolate!

  • Its very rare I get anything on Christmas day except the obligatory £20 my dad puts in my xmas card.

    Quite sad really when you think I have a hubby and 2 kids :(

    However this year I have told him I am not buying him any gifts and that we will both put £20/£30 in the holiday tin

    You give him presents and you don't get anything back? Why? :(
    D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't important
