    I'm pro-Christmas :)

On my list, which is a list designed so my husband can choose a couple of things from it and it still feels like a surprise:

this is what we're doing this year! dh usually gives me the money to get what i want but ive said this year i want a 'suprise' but hes rubbish at buying gifts. so we are each writing down loads of things we would like, making sure the total cost of the items comes way over the budget and we will pick what we want to buy the other off the list

anyhow on my list (so far!)
    • writers and artists yearbook
    • new boots
    • a day perfume (yet to pick)
    • new bag and purse
    • writers weekly mag subscription
but i will probaly think of a thousand more before the big day :rotfl:

I find not thinking about christmas for 364 days a year more fun, but each to their own ;)

    Scrooge!!

Your disparaging remarks about Christmas threads cluttering the board are not representative of the whole of MSE. Many advance plan so they can put thought and effort into buying what their loved ones actually want or need rather than what tat is left on Christmas Eve. Its also very MSE as you can buy when items are on special offer rather than bumped up in the pre-Christmas run.

Each to their own as you say - please stand by this.

    And Happy Christmas :santa2:

What do I want for Christmas?
That hubby and kids are happy and content on the day, food on the table and roof over our heads....
I don't really wish for any material stuff this year, I got everything I need or want. Boring I know but...that is just it. :xmassmile

Lush goodies, some kawaii things (pretty much only available online and my OH isn't organised enough to start shopping before Christmas Eve so won't be expecting any of that :P ), that's it really. There's no 'big' thing I want apart from some nice perfume but I'm going to ask for that on my birthday in October. It's pretty impersonal but will probably just ask for the money. I've done that the past few years, and I always get lots of little daft gifts off everyone so I still have plenty to open on the day. That just reminded me, last year me and my brother both asked for money, instead of just giving it to us my dad wrapped it up in an empty mushroom tray and an empty toilet roll and put it in with our other presents :rotfl:
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't important

Well last year I asked for a book, CD and a Willow Tree ornament but my DH has a list as long as his arm so I have said I would like a Kitchenaid Mixer or an e-reader :rotfl:not that I have much chance of getting either lol. I'm happy with whatever I get to be honest just as long as OH and kids are all happy.

A wonderful peaceful festive time with my mum and dad. I'd gladly receive nothing else this Christmas if I can have just that one thing.
