Hi

I am looking into getting a camera phone. Can anyone recommend one that takes good quality photos?

Thanks

    budget?

    payg or contract?
  • Pay as you go - mind you a lot fo the phones that are linked to contract can be bought and unlocked.

Not sure of budget as not sure where to start looking really ? I currently have a sony walkman but the photos don't look fab and it has a small screen.

I know you said payg, but i've just taken out a contract through e2save and i got an LG crystal (8mp camera, great to use) on 02 with 600 minutes and unlimited texts for £25 a month! Honestly i thought i had misread it when i first saw it.

It arrived on my doorstep on thursday and i could not be happier, this is my second contract phone, and i used to swear by pay and go.

  • Hiya, i only top up about £10 every 2 - 3 months so would like to stay on PAYG really. Just wanted to know if anyone had a model they were happy with for taking photos and what that model was. Thanks
  • Make sure you get one with Xenon flash. Megapixels mean nothing without a good light source
  • The Samsung Pixon 12 has very good reviews, being a 12mp and the quality of photo's are supposed to be really good and has a 3.5 inch screen. Sony Ericsson is about to launch a 12.1mp with Xenon flash, called the Satio with similar specs to samung. It's due to be on the uk market in October if you can wait that long!

tell me the max you will spend on a phone, we really need to start there.
  • Nokia 6300 takes good pictures which can easily be downloaded to your PC through a card reader.
  • Cheers everyone.

Greyster - not sure really as haven't bought a phone for ages. Was really just wanting people who are happy with their camera phone and the quality of their photos to let me know the model of the phone. I am not fussed if it is a new fandabidozi model or an older version as long as the photo quality is good. I will now surf off to look at the phones already posted here - thanks again.

Any more suggestions will be gratefully received :D
