It was a large one, original price was 24 quidish if I remember correctly.
I cut it up into sections (steaks?) bunged em all in the freezer and had salmon once a month for nearly a year (no one else in the family would eat it)0 -
I think the time can vary from 1 store to another, 1 chain to another and 1 stores manager to another stores manager. The store doesnt have to reduce anything(well i know sainsburys dont have to, they may knock stuff down to half price and just leave it)0

I went into Asda today about half hour before closing one poor member of staff was surrounded by about 20 customers grabbing anything that she was trying to reduce - mainly burgers.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0

I find Tuesday/Wednesday the best time of the week for 'bargains'. As stated earlier the stock from last week is getting towards 'best by/sell by' dates, and new stuff tends to appear on the shelves for the weekend from Thursday.0

The Co op can have some good reductions. Today at about 3pm I got half price 3 chickens also sliced roast beef and a ginsters pasty. Oh and courgettes and bagged salad. They also often have the bananas 55p per kg. I didn't need any though.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

I Usually have a bargain hunt on Sunday afternoon after 2-30, plenty of knock down prices especially bread/cakes etc."When the Government borrows, the citizen has to save".

I went to Asda today just after 7.30 (needed emergency ingredients for Mum's Birthday Cake) and they had reduced loads of stuff to 5p! Good if you wanted veg for a meal tomorrow - but any longer than that, it might not have lasted.
I got a punnet of plums for 20p.
A few weeks back, I bought my brother in law a kilo of mussels for 25p - they were the extra special ones, and I think that they were £4.50 full price - obviously they had to be eaten pretty much straight away, but I love bargains like that!!Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??:mad:Debt Free as of September 2011 :jSealed Pot 2009 number 334 - £100 Saved! yey!!Sealed Pot 2010 number 334 - £116.51 Saved! Yey!! YIPPEE!!0 -
I tend to find most days after 6pm there will be bargains in most of the supermarkets.0
