Bought ticket while he was issuing fine

Hiya, I parked overnight in a car park which I though started charging at 9am, turns out 8... I got there at 8:30 to see a parking gimp loitering round my car so I quickly got a ticket and went over.

I don't know if he had actually fixed the ticket to the windscreen by the time I bought the ticket, but he was definitely still writing things on his pad and taking photos after I'd bought the ticket.

For what it's worth, my ticket and the fine both have the same time on - 8:35.

I don't suppose this gets me out of things does it?

I've now added scans of both the front and back here

Pete

Sneaky, but you never know unless you try. That said, the guy could have looked around to see if anyone was buying a ticket for a few minutes before issuing a notice. If he did, you won't have a hope in hell and if he twigs what you did, it'll all be in his notebook.

What company issued the ticket, Pete?

No idea. We don't know who the ticket was from or what it says.

Read the sticky on the front of the board, and then tell us who it's from. If it's a council ticket, you'll need to let us see it (all of it it) and then someone can advise you properly.

Hi guys, thanks for the responses.

I've now scanned in the parking 'invoice' and also the ticket that I bought.

It was a council car park.

    The image is here

    Thanks

Hi Pete - could you also scan the back of the PCN (even if it looks standard there are things on there that may help you at appeal) :)
  • Pete for safety remove personal details and vrm, all of them.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
  • I'm guessing that you have a case for appeal anyway - it's quite clear they're alleging that you were parked at 08:35 without a ticket, yet you have a ticket quite clearly issued at 08:35. The appeals procedure will be on the back of the ticket.

I've now removed my details from the image and will upload the reverse when I get home.

    Thanks again,

Pete, the ticket image I can see is enough to tie your post in as evidence
