Anyone know if this offer is any good? I had a flyer through my door offering £300 for my old boiler when they replace it. It certainley sounds like a good deal, but how do I know that British Gas don't charge >£300 more than anyone else?
I don't really know much about boilers, so any help would be appreciated!
thanks,
Dan

Generally, they charge a good bit more than £300 extra... Best bet is to get a few quotes first.0

Hi,
In general I always get at least three prices.
If you can get someone to recommend that is always a good idea.
BG have high overheads which is refected in their prices.

Littlejo is right.
Allways get a minimum of 3 quotes. I guarantee the £300 will be in the price somewhere. Lets face it when have you ever got anything for nothing. Its just the same as changing your car.
We usually put £300 on each boiler we sell.
Please do not be taken in by the marketing info you receive. Its people like you who big companies prey on...
Stay local and go by word of mouth. Get them in to quote and tell them you will be having others in and see how they react. Use your own judgement to see who is worthy of fitting your boiler. Also ask if they have a portfolio of work done.
Good luck
