Are they saying no order went through? Or are they saying they can't now put one through. Surely if no order went through then they will not have taken any money. Despite the email, I would check with my bank/credit card to see if money has been taken. If money has been taken then a contract has been made.

I eventually got this sorted out and the manager agreed to supply the same package only without the Home Cinema set.
Its now been dispatched and im waiting on it coming.
Then on Saturday i get a letter saying theyre awaiting payment for the original package and they can only hold the goods for a short time for me. Only it was full price they were asking for and id been told it was sold out at every price!
I aint got a clue what theyre playing at and neither did the guy when i called querying the letter.
The manager said she would do a follow up call on me and the guy agreed i should wait and ask her what was going on.
After all this hassle i just cant wait til it comes and its all over and done with.

I was just wondering if the 26" LCD TV was HD ready?

I've had mine a week, no it's not HD ready but a cracking telly and the home cinema sound system is brilliant, haven't got round to recording on the dvd recorder just yet but all is well, best £408 I've spent....had to fork out £150 for a new aerial but needed doing anyway. From what I've read on the tecchie board it is better to wait a couple of years as most Hd so called ready t.vs will not be up to scratch when HD comes in properly.
So did you eventually get sorted out with Empire?

Well in my last post i said they'd sent me out the one without the H/C...guess what....still not arrived! Dispatched on 16th too!
They now have the original deal in a different sale for £699.
I told the manager this and she's agreed to send me it for the original sale price. Iv'e to refuse delivery of the other one......if it ever arrives!
Dont think it ever went out stock....either they didnt have a clue what was happening or they didnt really mean to sell it at that price in the first place.

It'll be xmas before i get mine....thats if i ever do...lol.

I think mine took about 10 days to arrive after the dispatch date, well worth the wait...

Im still waiting on delivery of the one without the H/C just so i can refuse it (3weeks now)!
Manageress is supposed to be doing a follow up call on me tomorrow so ill see whats happening then......maybe!!
