Letter from Lloyds/SCM help needed

  • Thanks,

i recently recieved a letter from the aforementioned SCM - imagine my shock when i contact them only to find that they are in fact Lloyds collections.

I had a DMP on my credit card until the bank account decided, after promising to help, to charge me close on £300 in charges. needless to say, the DMP failed quickly.

Since then, i have got back to a manageable state, only to get no response to an updated DMP letter. Every telephone call promises allsorts..................and i've had enough!!!

As the Debt Management unit obviously don't want to help, can anybody give me the name and address of the Cheif Executive so that i may petition him directly???

Maybe this way i might actually get someone to help!!

    Cheers

Dave - still broke but trying desperately...

If you're still using the Royds account, stop doing so. Set up a separate new account with another bank that is unconnected with Royds.

Since Royds are being unreasonable (nothing new there), it may be worth going down the CCA route.

But the first thing you should do is set up a new account - no point having them take huge chunks out of your existing one.

What does this relate to - a current account, credit card, loan?

Try to set up a new account and use that one if Royds are stinging you for charges. But why are Royds stinging you for charges?
  • cos a was over drawn nd they keep taken the charges out a mite open aa new bank account

Best to open a new account with a bank totally unconnected with Royds. Then, one stage at a time - but at least setting up a new account and using that one stops you from being caught short by Royds.

Since I moved in 9 months ago I've been receiving letters for one of Lloyd's customers.
The letters are being sent to an address that doesn't exist, with a postcode 1 letter different from mine and the postman just keeps delivering them to my house (as he does with most post in the village for house number 2).

I have phoned Lloyds and they said they would delete the address off their system and try and track down the customer. The letters kept coming.
I phoned them again and this time the person in the call centre said there was nothing they could do, and I'd have to go into the branch (it's 8 miles away). I went to the branch and handed over the pile of letters and they said they'd get them stopped immediately. The letters kept coming.

I wrote to Lloyds about a fortnight ago telling them what's going on and asking them to stop sending them immediately. Today I've had one from SCM saying they may issue court proceedings etc.

    Anyone got any advice?

My only ideas at the moment are:
    • Provided I've still got a job after Christmas I think I'll pay to set up a redirection with Royal Mail so everything gets bounced back to Lloyds - see if that makes them think about investigating.
    • Write to SCM mimicing their own letter saying I'll start charging £5 for each letter I receive, I may start court proceedings if this gets up to £50 and if I don't hear back from them in 14 days I assume they have accepted....or similar :D

If the letters are not for you, just ignore them.

Royds are idiots, and should be thanking their lucky stars that the UK citizen who has had absolutely no say at the matter, has rescued such a blindly incompetent organisation.
