Note the word DISCO in the above? That means a discount of £11 on your phone, bband and TV bundle.
The proper price is £25 for broadband plus £11 for the phone and £5.50 for your extra channel package. This comes to £41.50. Your discount for your bundle is £11 making your total £30.50 which is actually cheaper than you thought.
You then have two special discounts - one for the installation charge (£30) and one for signing up online (£20).
The only bit I can't fathom out is the 2 months free offer. Why does it say broadband size L £25.00 when it should be part of my £19.50 package?
Just the way it's listed.I havent phoned virgin because i have no details a password or anything so not sure if they will speak too me about it?
Perhaps if you had phoned they would have explained it to you.0 -
Thanks for that
Today i had my bill emailed too me and it is indeed £41.50 so i am a bit annoyed that it isn't £30.50.0 -

Personally I would have found it sensible to phone them and discuss it with them?
You can find their number on their website. Just call up, explain the situation and see what they see.
I find it unlikly they will refuse to discuss it with you because you have no password etc; Try by telling them your full name, address including postcode, im sure they will be able to bring something up on their computer system! When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.0 -

Phone them and discuss it with them! Thats the only way it going to get sorted out Id have thought!:DWhen dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.0 -
I was pricing this up for my MIL last week and nearly got caught out the same way - it is not always obvious they will be charging you £11 extra for the phone line, and the price quoted also includes the £20 discount (that is only for 2 months). The whole website is very opaque in terms of pricing - although it is all there it would be easy to be deceived.
I am not sure whether you will get any joy complaining - though might be worth talking to trading standards or some other body.0 -
I have rung them. I don't like too ring all the time, the amount of times i have already!
I do agree though, their online pricing does make the package look better than it is in reality i think.0 -
Probably too late but if you haven't already had it installed I'd cancel & re-negotiate it if I were you - they have the £19.50 as a standard bundle now for the full 12 mths of the contract (plus £11 line rental)0

yeah thats the bundle i have. It's 30.50 a month.0
