Mother opened a 0% card to transfer my balance!

Personally I don't see your problem, your mother lent you £4000 so that's what you owe her. Doesnt matter how she lent it to you, at the end of the day you owe her £4000 and she wants it back, pay the poor woman back any way she wants, its her money.
In answer to your initial question, I don't think that there is any way you could pay the card off without having the number. How did you manage to do the balance transfer initially, if you don't have details of your mother's card - maybe you could pay it off in a similar way?0
