Shoul I change to PAYG if my call usage is 120mins/month?
Shoul I change to PAYG if my call usage is 120mins/month?
I'm currently on contract, at £15 per month. I have calculated my usage for the past 6 months, and found that on average I called 120mins/month (to any UK network) while I hardly used texts.
Do you think it would be cheaper for me to change to PAYG? And can I still retain my old number?
My sincere thanks.

Sounds like you could save money on Asda mobile - 8p a minute would mean 120 mins would cost you just around a tenner.0

You may benefit from a rolling 30 day sim only tariff. There are some really good ones going for a tenner., and you can cancel with 30 days notice and no charge.
02 - £9.79 gets you 150 minutes and 300 texts per month
You can retain you old number, just ask for your PAC code.
Are you still within your contract period, finishing or out of contract?Try to imagine nothing ever existed...0 -
In this case the beauty of PAYG as opposed to a 30 day sim only deal is that you dont pay when your not using it. EG Holiday.0

Depends on the numbers you call..
I know i save bundles with orange "magic numbers"
I suppose other networks have similiar....but have a look to see how many times you ring the same number and what network its on0 -
Yes I think so.
The O2 £9.97 might work best or, alternatively the P+G tarrif that gives extra minutes when you top up £10 could be good- my kids are on the txt version of this:
Pay £10 in month 1 and get a bundle of free minues- use these up then start using up credit- when creid runs low top up again and get more free minutes.
With the txt bundle the kids have , they use the free 300 txts the 1st month and little credit, in month 2 they use the credit up and then we re load- averaging £5/month therefore.0 -

I went back to PAYG 6 weeks ago... I was averaging 50 mins and approx 300 texts a month, but because I use mobile internet a lot i was on an O2 simplicity plan... I switched over to 3 PAYG (keeping my number) and last month I topped up £10, got £10 free credit for transferring my number, and I still have £16 left... No need for me to topup until november (3s free stuff lasts 90 days).
So i'm well happy i made the move

I'm considering a similar move from O2 myself... and I've got one of 3's old-skool SIMs that's like the new ones, but the calls are 12p not 20pI went back to PAYG 6 weeks ago...
