MultiFuel Burner - Paper Briquette Maker Review

I am fortunate to have free access to limitless double shredded waste office paper and so decided for this winter to make some paper briquettes to see how they burn.

I picked up an Eco-Mania heavy duty briquette maker for a reasonable £15 plus p&p from Ebay and soaked the shreddings in water in an old dustbin with a small amount of bleach to break up the cellulose.

24hrs later they were a finger friendly mush and the heavy duty briquette device squeezed the water out of thirty house brick sized papier mache blocks which went into the greenhouse to dry, it's 30 degrees in there during the day so they should be dry in a week.

I have no idea how they will burn but the instruction suggest a brick lasts an hour or so. The idea of tearing newspapers up before soaking turned me off but office shreddings made it a doddle, the smaller the shredding the better as the bricks are very dense.

Anyone any experience with briquettes like this ?
