if you think peoples advice is helpfull please take the time to clicking the thank you button it gives great satisfaction
  • Was watching How Clean Is Your House last night and they used mayonaise for getting sticker residue off of a cupboard.

I think the idea is that you spread on the mayo, and the acid off your tongue when you lick it off disolves the sticky stuff. :p

Success! I used a combination of the pan scourer, stardrops, plastic scraper, and hubby used the thingy with the stanley blade - and he (yes he) only left one scratch, which I am going to have to live with. Thank you all for your helpful advice as I really didn't think it was possible to get it off.

    impossible!
you need a real diamond to do that!

It's not impossible, it's very easy in fact.

Making sure the glass it wet while using the scraper is important or it WILL scratch.
  • Halogen hob scraper.
A bit late,,but someone may need for another time,,a halogen hob scraper would do this easily. Stanley knife blade will indeed scratch glass. Halogen hobs are glass and these scrapers are great for most delicate surfaces,, stickers off fridge doors, stickers off glass, glass oven doors with baked on grime.
