Some people are so dishonest

I am not apathetic,I just try to be understanding of others.I think the proper use of the language is very important but only where it matters.
Colloquialisms(off which "text speak" is one) and pigeon english are perfectly fine for everyday use by the people who use them.If those people wanted to pass an english exam they would have to use the correct english language.
All forms of the language has its place. This forum is not an english exam though so there is really no need to be so pedantic about language here.
I hope you get a better nights sleep tonight by the way."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0 -

Well done for understanding the poster. Perhaps you have grown up using "text speak" as though it was a second language? (It is not by the way)
Nah, we've just grown up.
It was a perfectly understandable posting, possibly you should learn to accept people for what they are, and not make critical judgements based on your perceived need to use a thesaurus and a spellchecker to conform.0 -
I have never ever mentioned referring a lost item to the police before, to me that would make a seller looking a little um, 'odd'.
Why? Its Royal Mail who would refer stolen post to the police not me. You think if something you sent insured for £500 goes missing they just pay out the money and think oh well?0 -

At no point on this thread has anyone mentioned a £500 insured item. The OP said 'teeny bit more expensive than my usual items' and also mentioned it was sent untracked.
I therefore stick with my statement that telling a buyer who enquires about an item not received that you are going to the police is rather an over reaction.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I've just had my first item not arrive after years of ebaying.
I bought three items , 2 from uk sellers, 1 from Hongkong, on the 31st Aug.
1 uk and the Hongkong item have arrived, but the other uk item has not made it. I waited until the 12th, (posted on the 1st), and had a refund the same day.
It does appear that more post is not arriving than normal, as there are other letters I know have been posted that have not arrived yet. (not ebay items) So maybe they aren't dishonest, you never know, there could be a matching post on "I have paid but seller hasn't sent item"0 -

They are often asking the most inane questions as well as poorly spelling them though, such as this oneim thinking on putting a bid on for this items ...all togethere how much would it cost ?
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.0 -

I never said I was going to the police. I said Royal Mail would go to the police. I was using the £500 lost item as an example.0 -

Sent twice, with a hour gap inbetween. They wanted one buy it now product, as it turned out after a few painfully confusing messages back and forth.

And I'm not a spelling nazi either- I leave that to my fiance.
(I'd also like to point out that I know people have dyslexia and stuff, so sorry if I sounded harsh to anyone.)
