Some people are so dishonest

Just a rant really -sold something a teeny bit more expensive than my usual items on eBay last week, and it was snapped up immediately. Have just had the buyer start with the "my item has not arrived" (posted Thurs)and "the PO say I need a tracking number" - I know it could be genuine, but this is from a long-standing buyer with lots of feedback (and a collector of the item I sold) and it justs smells like I'm being scammed. I meant to send it recorded delivery (I don't normally, as my usual items are low-value and I "self-insure") but I dropped my parcels off with the post mistress and forgot to tell her that I wanted recorded. D'oh! * Kicks herself * That will teach me

Let others learn from my mistakes ;)

    Dishonest??
I paid for some item (not from you) but never arrived I have the right to ask for the details of sending, is possible RM lost it , or The postman left at the door. I know the postman and I can ask to him,
Also by mistake I ordered something from Corea, and I wait for a month, never arrived, Paypal refund to me the money back .

I can supply proof of posting, but just kicking myself for not getting proof of delivery.

There are some transactions where you just get a certain feeling. I will be more careful in future.

Sending something standard mail provides the same compensation as sending it recorded so as you have proof of posting, you're covered if it doesn't turn up.

The buyer may be asking for a tracking number if you stated it was being sent recorded. Tell the buyer the Royal Mail won't consider it lost or delayed at this stage and to allow longer for delivery.

I understood what the member was saying perfectly well.
Perhaps it says something about your own grasp of language that you couldnt understand the post because there were a couple of letters and maybe the word 'it' missing.

If the item has gone missing then claim through Royal mail. You will get at least the item value back hopefully as long as it wasn't too expensive. Its all about trust. If you think they are being dishonest there isn't much you can do than block them so you don't sell them to again. I usually make big of reporting it to Royal Mail and them investigating it and referring it to the police. I know that none of this will probably happen but sometimes it does make lost items suddenly appear. It might have really got lost though keep that in mind.

Had that before - is'nt it strange how those feelings are usually correct ?

    Hope it turns up.

I have never ever mentioned referring a lost item to the police before, to me that would make a seller looking a little um, 'odd'.

Then alas, by your apathy, you are also one of the people responsible for the degradation of the English language.

Well done for understanding the poster. Perhaps you have grown up using "text speak" as though it was a second language? (It is not by the way)
