two weeks ago i took up the cashback offer with them,
i got the phone but when i called orange they had put me on canary 40 instead of ovp o2 200 tariff i was supposed to be on.

after many calls and emails, the got back to me after 1 week and said yes their guy had made a mistake, and that they would get it changed to the correct tarrif and that it would not effect my cashback claims.
i waited another week, still on wrong tarrif..still emailed..no response..
finally got a call last friday, and was told it had already been sorted..which was wrong..orange checked an im still on the wrong tarrif... i will not call the o870 number and pay money to get them to sort out their mistake..
i tried the numbers on saynoto0870 but they are for sales only..

can someone tell me for sure where i stand legally, as i am on a contract i did not order, so should not be legally resonsible to pay that bill...

i would warn people to stay away from coolnewmobiles, yes some people may find them fine, but if you are one of the ones that have a problem dont expect them to help you,

im ready to take them through the courts if i have to , because how can i get cashback when they have put me on the wrong contract...

any legal help would be appreciated... nearly two weeks on the wrong tarrif is just unbelieveable...

    info@coolnewmobile.com

    websales@e2save.com

    orangecare@coolnewmobile.com

    orangesales@coolnewmobile.com

sara@phoneboxdirect.com the manager on the consumer help

but no one has emailed me back, im really begining to think this is a scam and your forums will be flooded with unhappy members being conned...

possibily a scam company. I would stay clear of them. Once they have established themselves as reliable then maybe more people would have confidence in them.

I would look to sue their a$$ in the courts, in the first instance.

They dont even accept number porting to vodafone and o2.

    Disgusting.

Also, their site looks disgusting as well and poor information on the site.

"Contact us" page very disgusting too.

They wouldnt want to mess with someone like me, if they screwed me up with my contract, Id go down there in person and sort it out.

You can try this number: 01270 412260

I placed two orders last week in coolnewmobile and input my amex card for credit check. And then got this number in email from CNM to contact them. I called and was told they don't accept amex. so i told them my visa card and passed. I called them a few times later on for various questions and quite happy with the answers.

    Good luck

I'm not a legal expert, but I'd suggest that you should be in quite a strong position - try to gather as much info as possible - screenshots, emails, details of conversations, etc. I'd email Orange ASAP & get their input.
Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!

Oh dear there's that word again, without any evidence to back it up. I wish people would stop saying it's a scam - I don't want them going bust before I get my cashback just because of comments in forums!!

thanks polly alloy for the number.
i called them and it was dextra solutions that answered, i told the guy my plight and he agreed two weeks to fix this problem is discusting, so he said hed ahve a word with his manager but probably theri customer services would ring me back. that was yesterday at 4pm, its now 11 am and no contact yet, so ill give em another call...

so martin lewis ..what would you do ? do you have a legal team you use that can advise ? thnx

as for Alltheloginsaretakenappar i can understand your concerns, even i have been patient because they could take a diskine tome cause im standing up for my rights and convieniently loose my cash back forms in future...

but on the other hand if it is a scam company, and no one stood up and said it like it is, thered be hundreds of conned people, better to find out the truth now.

all they have to do is simply put me on the correct tariff and no problems, but for some reason they are just sitting on their !!!!!! taking other customers money

anyone got a direct number to the owner of cool new mobiles... id hate to have to speak to him through bbc watchdog !
