pontins holiday offer £25 for 3 or 4 nights

  • Have stayed in lots of Pontins and they were all fine - except Southport! Would never go there again - it was filthy (chalets & public areas), very run down and facilities were 'tired' to say the least!

The best used to be the one near Dawlish, but I've been told that they have sold it - a great shame - the site was great and entertainment top-notch.

Sadly I missed out on this deal, but hope that all who booked it have a great time (and sorry if you are going to Southport!).

People pay more than this to go camping, and they face waking up with more than just a snail going over or in their sleeping bags, as i say a holiday is what you make it, let people make up their own minds

Thank you for this information re £25 pontins break. I have just got back from a weekend at Camber Sands with my grandchildren. The accommodation was basic and rather shabby but very clean, although I had not paid for bed linen this was provided and the beds made up. We had our £20 given back in Pontins pounds which was enough for the kids drinks in the bar for the two nights. The beach at Camber Sands is one of the best in the country and we were able to enjoy it for the whole of Saturday. I would not want to pay full price to stay at Pontins but for £5 for a weekend away with kids this was great.

  • Had a great time at Prestatyn and we have booked again to go on Oct 19th for 4 nights again at £25 and get £20 Pontins pounds back.

Have to say I was very happy at prestatyn as it wasnt what i though it would be and it was very clean and the bluecoats and staff was just brill so well done pontins prestatyn.
  • I "won" a Pontins midweek break and hubby and I took DS to Southport for Mon-Fri break

Never again - worst holiday camp I have ever been to, everywhere was filthy, chalet, facilities, swimming pool! I felt as if I was stuck in some sort of 70's timewarp. I was warned by MSE's before I went but I always try to go with an open mind. We ended up leaving early and going to stay in a hotel at Blackpool for a few days as hubby and son covered in ant and flea bites.

I complained and the accommodation manager visited us and advised if she moved us we would only face the same problem as all chalets were the same.
