we have just got back from southport pontins and we will never go again, we came back early because of the stag and hen parties there, we couldnt sleep at night for the noise, it was dirty, the apartments were 3rd rate and damaged and everything was overpriced0 -
hi all , we just got back from our weekend away, it cost us £30 for the three nights (we didnt stay sunday night as we have work to go to on monday) we wen to camber sands, and yes the whole place could do with an update but our room was clean they had some good things for the kids to do but to be honest ours spent most of the time onthe beach which was a 5 min walk away loads of sand dunes and a huge stretch of beach to play on, what a great weekend. x P.S. ask for an extra mattress for the pull out sofa as it was not very comfy, we asked and they gave us another onbe within about half hour. xnow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0

we went camber sands in june and couldnt find the beach! there were dunes etc but nothing that i would class as the beach. pontins itself was ok but we didnt go into the entertainment bit. was disappointed in the area though0 -
the beach was huge it was around a 5 min slow wak with the kids we were there till about 2/3 pm each day two tics and i will try get a couple of pics up
, we didnt use the entertainment much as we all find it sooo loud but used the swimming pool, its ok just basic, there didnt seem anything to do within walking distance but apparently there is a a farm and a nature reserve and a museum of some sort within around half an hour of the holiday park driving, now proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0 -

I was there too this weekend and didn't see any stag/hen parties's there was a big dance competion on and they where a bit rowdy but only having fun ,I agree the chalets where pretty bad ,but I thought the prices were much better than haven ,kid's meals including a drink and piece of fruit for £1.75 BARGAIN full cooked breakfast £2.99 .0 -
Just my opinion...
I stayed at Pontins in Camber - never, ever again. It was filthy and I certainly wouldn't have eaten in their so-called restaurant. The place was worse than a barracks, and I've seen a few of those! The beach and surrounding area (Rye etc) was its only saving grace
Same goes for Brean, what a dirty, damp and dismal chalet that was. Waking up to see a snail trail across the carpet  had us packing our bags and leaving.
Needless to say we won't be going to Pontins again

i didnt eat in the restaurant so cannot comment on that, our room was clean, and we was on te beach most of the day just oing back to the room to eat or a local chip shop which was ok. for a cheap weekend away it was fully as we expected, i would not pay full price to go there but as it only cost us £30 it was well worth the money we spent , the kids had a fantastic timenow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0
