Seconded what balsingh said. No need to pay rip off fee.
I recently changed from a paper license to a photocard because of address change and had to enclosed a cheque for £19. However, they returned the cheque saying there is no fee to pay this time! Result.0 -

Remember, even if you get them removed from the license after 4 years, , if your insurer asks you to declare all convictions for 5 years, you still have to declare them.If you found my comment helpful, please click the 'Thanks' button below :T0 -

has anyone ever challenged this under the rehabilitation of offenders act?
points / conviction valid for 4 years but stay on licencce for 5.
under the act you don't legally have to declare "spent" convictions so why do they stay on for an additional year? does this constitute a breach of ones human rights?I have a cunning plan!
Proud to be dealing with my debts.0 -
Wait until you have another reason to want a new license (address change etc) and get it done then. In the meantime, why worry?Gwlad heb iaith, gwlad heb galon0

I remember reading on this forum that if you apply for a Provisional HGV or PSV License which is free, your license will come back with the points removed if you are over the 4/5 year time spell0

I thought the rahabilitation of offenders act said that convictions were spent after 7 years (3 1/2 for under 18's)?
