Option 1 for me. I rang the OR's office the day after bankruptcy just to check about bank account and the nice OR man said no need for interview. Nothing from them apart from a letter about nil tax code. Since then zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz's.
Life back to normal so far

Everyone thinks that, but it's rarely a bad experience. I saw it as quite cathartic, I'd been hiding and sneaking about my financial affairs for so long, that talking about everything in the open with the OR felt like being set free. Corny, yeah, but that is really how it felt.Desperate+Depressed wrote: »Im on benefits too.........although I've nothing to hide, I'm not sure I'd like the face-to-face option, I'd be a nervous wreck:eek:Come ride with me, through the veins of history...

Had you written a/c nos, amounts etc for creditors on forms? I'd put as much as I could on the forms. What do you mean by the nil tax code? (sorry to be dim, but I don't understand that part of it all) x0 -

I had number 3
As Phil says, it can be the better option. It will undoubtedly be longer than the telephone interview, but the OR can tell a lot more face to face, and can assess whether he/she feel you are being open and honest far better than on the phone. I do wonder whether some of the longer f2f interviews actually result in less investigator work afterwards? BSC 2710 -

When you go BR the HMCS will issue you with a Nil Tax code, this means that your tax will be in your wage packet. You put this to one side and you are then contacted by the OR's agent, Moon Beever, with details on how to pay it to them. This carries on untill the end of the tax year (April 10) or if you change jobs, where it will revert back to normal.
Have a read of the Bankruptcy Help sticky, there is a lot of good info on there.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
