Virgin Media have w/e/f/ 1 September withdrawn the Analogue signal from cabled areas in South Wales. This has been done without any warning/notification from Virgin.
Have any other areas been subjected to the same treatment?

Yep, happened to us (South Central) ages ago. Analogue disappeared without warning.
We went from an old NTL (grey) Pace box, that we could use to sent the analogue signal to another tv, to a new Virgin Samsung (silver) one when it broke.
The newer boxes don't even have an rf output connector on them. (I think, haven't looked in a while)0
