Hi All
I currently have a contract phone, but its in my mates name - I pay every month on time via standing order etc, this is because I have really bad credit and I DID have CIFAS markers (not sure about now).
Anyway as much as I appreciate my mate for helping me out (he took the phone - I got the SIM) I am thinking that I am helping his credit rating, so after looking around, I decided to try and get a Solo SIM on T-Mob (the fixed one - so you cant go over your limits) - and to my surprise I was accepted, however I didnt realise you had to top up to use extra stuff, such as to call voicemail etc. Anyway I have a few questions that if anyone could answer would much greatly appreciated.
1. Is the credit check for a Solo SIM card more lenient than one for a standard Solo SIM?
2. If I ring to cancel (within 7 days) am I guarenteed a standard Solo SIM?
3. Will paying on time help my credit rating?
4. After 3-4 months of paying on time, will I be able to take out a standard contract with a handset etc?
Think thats all
Cheers

so it would seem after three months of payments on time, then I would be able to upgrade. At that point would they carry out additional credit checks do you think?0

I would have thought so.Being on sim only for a few months will go in your favor though providing you don't default.I was looking at this sim the other day but i have a ccj and still bankcrupt.Very much doubt i would be offered this even if it is for people with bad credit.0
