you are still missing the point ,the account had money in and should not have been closed even the lady in the bank said so :T

The lady was wrong. My apologies. Ask the complaint handler to advise the branch manager.

If you ask for advice, you have to expect answers I could just lie and tell you what you want to hear

    Why not?

You're being very against Barclays when all they've done is closed a dormant account.

I don't know what else you expect when you have had the account for the past 2 years completely unused.

Maybe if you yourself got a brain, you might understand why they have done it.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND LOVING WORDS SO GLAD I GOT TO YOU:rotfl:

Accounts unused for more than twelve months are classed as dormant. The account has been closed as dormant.

We are not required to give notice for this action, as under 14.3 of the Retail Customer Agreement as we are not ending our relationship with you. Eight weeks notice is only required if we are closing or transferring your account due to a branch closing. Otherwise, it is thirty days unless we have cause to close immediately.

The money is still yours and can be reclaimed through the British Bankers Association. We do not get to keep your money.
Thank you for your post ,i would much rather my account back not the money :T
