...Can you reallt take things back to Tesco's without the receipt such as ipods...id think you would need to have to be a pretty convincing person! & they dont deduct your points...but just gie you credit!....That would be a smart way to make points but i guess if its on purpose, in essence its stealing!!

Just bought 6 ipod shuffles from Edinburgh , been looking for some since offer started the last time but they were never in stock but managed to get 6 today. 1000 points added for each although nothing saying you get extra points but they did all get added to receipt.

Went to Wigan Tesco last night and was told the offer finished last Sunday. There were no SEL out and she seemed pretty adamant it had stopped

Picked up a 512 shuffle in MK Kingston yesterday, labels for 999 points gone but went on at till, 1 meg version down to 58 notes too!!

I think these are in stock at stores because the stores themselves don't know the offer is on!

There are no signs up in some (most!?) - I asked 2 people in electrical who said it had finished. Not convinced I took it to CS desk - she said she would check with electrical, so I said don't bother cos they'll just insist its not on. In the end she did the transaction in "training mode" on her till, and lo and behold, there were 999 bonus points!

In my store (Aberdeen) no signs up but offer is definitely still on although I did have to buy one to see if it still was. Told they couldn't check if there were extra points on it unless I bought it. Asked how many were in stock - 7

Just been to the Wigan store again and the guy was convinced the offer had stopped, asked him to scan in training mode and as if by magic......the points appeared!! Bought 2! Thanks everyone!!

There was another thread about this earlier this week, perhaps someone can find it?

I wondered (and posted) if stores which have run out of stock can issue a raincheck voucher for the 999 points, for customer to present when they next come into stock? Last time I looked at that thread no-one had answered but I'd love to know if it is possible.:o

I have had raincheck vouchers from Tesco Customer Services before for bogofs, when there is only 1 item left (you can then pick up the free item when they next come in stock). I believe these can also be issued for points offers?

Maybe someone going to Tesco tomorrow could ask at CS (if the store has run out of Ipods)...

Offer is still on! I bought one yesterday and got the bonus 999 points. Unfortunately, the 1gb one was OOS, but I managed to get the 512mb.

North Shields Extra store (Tyne And Wear) has loads of 512K shuffles, sign is up stating bonus points offer on until 31.5.06.

Bought the shuffle and points were shown on receipt straight away.
