ipod + 999 points offer back on @ tesco?

perhaps this shouldn't be in the grabbit section yet but here goes (sorry in advance).

i popped into tesco's just now and noticed that all the ipods had yellow labels (pretty sure it wasn't there yesterday) with an offer ending ??/05/06 date but no sign anywhere of what the offer was. maybe someone would like to give this a go?

Tesco info to be found on my thread here, would appreciate anyones input. It is a thread meant for the people on Grabit but has been moved by the mods, but it did get a quick few responses when it was in this section:

You're right mmlh. I checked out the yellow SEL / Offer Labels in Tesco Sale yesterday, and the 999 Clubcard points is back on offer for any iPod - offer open until 31st May 06.

Unfortunately they didn't have the 500mB iPod Shuffle otherwise I'd have bought one.

£9.99 if you buy stuff in Tesco I think BUT they are worth 4 times as much in deal points - £39.97 - for things like holidays, car servicing, breakdown covers etc... http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/deals/

    999 Clubcard points = £9.99 Tesco vouchers = £39.96 Tesco Deal Vouchers.

ie 999 points can be worth 40 quid.

So, people buy iPod Shuffles for about £58 from Tesco and sell them again on eBay for about £53 including over-priced postage.

Thus, you get £40 Tesco Deal Vouchers for £7 ish, ie for example, buy 10 iPod Shuffles, sell them on and get £400 of BA flights for £70 etc etc

THAT is why there won't be any Shuffles in stock in your local Tesco, only more expensive models!!!
