theres a product from Kleneze called Scratch no More,
We inherited a cat and were at our wits end, she was ruining the carpets.

This stuff stopped her in her track, cost about a tenner but worth every penny.
Thanks have ordered some of this from ebay to try to stop my kitty scratching up the carpets, fingers crossed it works!!

He has had 2 injections and got some tablets. Treating him for suspected cystitis and has to take the tablets for 10 days. Also discovered he has a heart murmur, which not sure where to go with that.

One of my cats often suffered cystitus, but you will know if they have it every 5 minutes they try to go and nothing comes out but a tiny amount.

Anyway i have several cats and no matter how many litter trays i have out one of them will use the carpet,i have had many cats in the past and always 1 would ruin your carpet,so i gave up on carpet ( although i still have two which will be replaced when i can afford it).
I now have Karndean or Amtico which looks like wood but is washable like vinyl.
It is fantastic it comes in strips and is made of vinyl but really looks like wood.
Laminate warps when it gets wet so no good ,i have some which looks ok but a small patch has been ruined so karndean eventually will replace it!

So my advice don't try to fight it if they persist change your flooring ,imagine being able to wash it ,it will last longer than half a dozen carpets.
Expensive but you can find it on the internet cheaper than shop prices.
