Glad that it was anaemia and nothing more serious.Fingers crossed for your get up and go coming back.
Well done on your NSDs..haven't had one this week I don't think but have done my christmas shopping.
Take care xx0 -
Well done on the Christmas Shopping Taxi - dd is coming home for a weekend in a couple of weeks so I'm hoping to have a 'girlie' day out and get lots of ideas then source t'internet for the remainder of mine.
Hopefully will have had 3 new additions to the family this year by the end of October - a new great-nephew, a great-niece and another due next week - making me a great aunt to 10 . I only buy for the children and my immediate family - so that'll be 3 extra pressies. A trip to Primarni baby department should sort babies out cheaply though - babies can't read the label and if parents don't like it - tough!!
I should be getting into the cleaning spirit but am slobbing about watching catch-up Corrie. Thought iron tablets would be kicking in but feel really grotty - really worn out and no energy.

Fantastic news on the 3 new expected arrivals...:p:p:p:p:p
Don't worry about the cleaning. You need rest at the moment to regain your strength. No point doing now with no energy..perhaps it takes a couple of weeks for the iron to kick in.0 -
hi milann - just catching up on your diary. Don't forget take the iron tablets with vitamin c like orange juice so they have a better chance of being absorbed.
it can take quite a while for the iron tablets to kick in so don't be too hard on yourself. hope the scan is clear.
well done on the overpayments and best of luck on your journeyAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks for that savingsholmes - had read about vitamin c making it easier for the iron to absorb and have been eating lots of fruit but the orange juice to wash them down makes sense - now why hadn't I thought of that.
Ended up going out yesterday with ds. That left me feeling really worn out and on top of that have been up on and off all night with tummy probs - so I phoned in work today saying I wouldn't be in. We are scheduled for a lunchtime meeting and I really couldn't face a full day with no breaks - so I'm being good and listening to my body and resting. It's taken me a long time to realise I'm not super woman - but I think I've finally realised this.
Not very MSE either - bought some trousers in M&S with vouchers from birthday - only when I got to till realised I'd left voucher at home - so ended up paying cash - then treated us to tea outBut it was a good day so will be extra careful and try to reign in some cash from other means.

Sorry to hear about tummy problems..iron can give you constipation.
You needed the trousers and tea out is a nice treat. We all have to have treats.
Well done on taking the day off and listening to your body.0 -
I know that I forgot the voucher moment!
I would talk to work too about the breaks. They are legally required to give you a break of at least 20 minutes in every 6 hours (doesn't have to be paid) - Regular lunchtime meetings would suggest this doesn't happen....Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Savingsholms - I have spoken to work and have asked where we stand legally if a mistake happens if we haven't had break - 'senior management are looking into it!!' was my reply. Like you, I know it is illegal. I have refused to go to several meetings and it has been frowned upon. I am not a clock watcher and often stay to do work after my finishing time because I 'want' to but I really do need a break in between sessions in the daytime. I am assigned many of the demanding children (I work with some very severely disabled and poorly children - as well as mainstream kids). Because we're a charity based unit - I feel the good nature of the staff is often taken advantage of. I love my job but do need time out - getting the management to see this is a different matter - we have been told they don't recognise unions - again I'm not sure that is legal?? When else can they get staff together??!!!  AH well - rant over.
My major concern is the side effect of constipation Taxi - that has been my prob. Thats why I was ill a few years ago, my bowel perforated with constipation. I had a colostomy and nearly a year later a reversal op. It hasn't functioned properly since and I have to constantly take medication which is beginning to rule my life - as I have become so used to the meds - have been taken in several times for more drastic measures too  - wish I'd never had the reversal as once I got my head round it, I got on ok with the bag. SOooooo.... I am really watching what happens with these iron tablets. Doc had me on calcium cos I have a low bone density but I had to come off that cos of the same reason. Life's never simple is it
Have rested all day and still feel shattered - on the plus side not spent any cash but the gardening brochure at my side keeps calling me - maybe nearer the end of the month if there is any cash left - that's one of my downfalls - buying plants - the other being buying craft stuff (then not getting round to using it)

Feeling slightly better after resting yesterday.
1. Today I am going to put ironing pile away (been in pile over a week now)
2. Tidy my bedroom.
3. Sit and turn up a couple of pairs of trousers by hand.
DD is 28 today - dratted rubbish postal service meant she hasn't got card or pressie I posted on Friday. Had long chat on phone though.
