Good morning.
My baby kept me up all night so bright and early I decided to check out my ebay. I had a message on there saying "have you sent my items yet?" she paid at 12minutes past midnight last night and it is now 7:12am? Give me a cance to send your 99p top off today girl!! I replied: "Hello, I received payment early hours of the 2nd may so no post office is open for me to crawl out of bed and post arrange delivery(please bear in mind the different time zones!). Your item will be posted today, and as you are in the united states may take 7-10 days to get to you. thank you for your email. Kind regards"
Hope I don't hear from her again! Think she is gonna bug me!! she only has 1 feedback so fingers crossed she is just a dumbass!

Dear oh dear - it always seems to be the newbies on Ebay who cause problems! Make sure you get a confirmation of postage so you can claim back from the Post Office if the package gets lost if you consider the cost of the item worth it - if she hasn't paid for a trackable postage method, you could well be facing a Paypal chargeback. The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0

Angelcake, surely you know that many overseas buyers expect the item to magically come out through the computer screen as soon as they pay :rotfl: honestly I'm getting so cross at buyers just recently both with late payers and people wanting things immediately.
LIke i said on the other thread about my late payer, I really don't see how other sellers manage, I can only assume they go to the post office immediately, day or night with the goods.
Hope you get a little more sleep tonight

Wiggins its not worth it for 99p if the item "gets lost in the post" I will neg her and not refund her! she is getting it when I can post it!
I have only just started posting to america again - these sort of people stop me from sending stuff over there but it was a top my sister was selling so she wanted worldwide coverage! ggggrrrr.....AMERICANS!!!
I think I was a bit cocky in the reply and would be annoyed if someone sent that to me ....but she asked for it stupid cow!!
hope so too soo!! Hubby is snoring in bed at the mo! not fair!! I will feel it later at the moment I am going on caffine!

You have my sympathy - it was American Ebayers who finally put me off Ebay for good. The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. I have just seen an email from her in my email account.....
"iam really sorry I did not notice that you said only in united kingdom shipping please write me back so I can get a refund"
this was before the other one!!! What a plonker! I have post worldwide on my listing. and just a note saying "international sellers contact me for postage!" she is obviously panicking she may have lost her £3! I feel a neg coming my way

Angel, be ultra polite and explain very simply that you are happy to refund if she has changed her mind but would 'of course' have to reclaim your ebay fees by going through the non paying bidder procedure which would unfortunately reflect badly on her account.
Then NPB her which is one step nearer to her losing her account.
This is another of those bidders TSFE. (Too stupid for ebay)

I refuse to sell outside the UK I don't think I could cope I've read the horror stories on here :eek:Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 0650

That was the polite version, don't you just wish you could write this instead;
"I'm sorry that you did not realise the UK was not in fact a state in the US and that the auction showing in sterling was not in fact a foible of mine but is an actual 'foreign' currency. I will readily refund your payment as you obviously need it to puchase an atlas much more than you need it to buy a top".
OK, I think it must be PMT time but I now have three buyers mucking me around by not paying yet wanting their goods immediately and am in no mood to bend over backwards to be nice to people who can't read or follow simple instructions.

Regarding people that demand quick postage -
I have a big note in my description AND payment details AND the invoice that says 'I can only post parcels 3 times a week as I'm currently sharing a car with my husband' the car sharing thing is true, the 3 times a week is flexible, most days the car is back by 4pm so I can get stuff in the post every day but it just gives me a bit of breathing space to get them all packed.
All my auctions finish on saturday or sunday evenings which means that by monday morning I can have anything up to 40 items paid for, because they are all china they need careful packing (I wish I sold knitting wool or something that I could just chuck in a mailing sack!) so I struggle to get more than 25 or 30 packed in one day. By warning them that I can't get to the post everyday the buyer may think that my posting days are as late as wed, thur or fri so are always delighted and very surprised when they get the parcel on tuesday morning
All the items that are paid for by tuesday are generally posted by tuesday or weds at the latest, the rest get posted as and when they are paid.
Because the buyer knows all this up front I have never had a problem with anyone wanting to hurry me up.0 -
Funny, but.... ebay does "help" people by converting foreign currency into your local currency on the listings page and so (s)he may well have not read the auction properly...soolin wrote:"I'm sorry that you did not realise the UK was not in fact a state in the US and that the auction showing in sterling was not in fact a foible of mine but is an actual 'foreign' currency.
[SARCASM] and we all know that ebayers read auctions thoroughly before bidding don't we?
