o2 simplicity/Upgrade query

Dear all,

Im currently on a retentions deal from 02 below,

800 mins
1000 texts
£10 discount
£25

Now im due for an upgrade, from what i know 02 are not offering any good deals,

Could i potentially migrate my tariff to an 02 simplicity package then just buy the iphone/hero out right.

Anyone think of other ways around this, in experience do people get offered good upgrade offers on their simplicity tariffs after they have finished their 12 months or 30 days rolling agreement commitment. I'm fully aware this doesn't include the phone.

Also does anyone know whether the o2 open discount code works on the iphone 3GS or sim only tariff.

Would like advice as i am unsure really what to do at the moment and some of the tariffs are not that great!

Yes, you can just use your simplicity in the iphone if you purchase the pay as you go version.

As far as I'm aware, open discount holders cannot get discount on iPhone 3GS contracts yet, but can on Simplicity.

NO discount on open code for simplicity, unless they have changed in the last 2 days.
I wanted one and was told not a chance on simplicity or the new I-Phone.

Open card holders discount must differ from staff discount with the simplicity then
