Query about Orange Contract

basically, i paid june's bill, then set up a direct debit for july, then in july they took out both july and june's bill. So £80 instead of £40 went out of my account. This triggered a £40 charge. I rang up to complain and they refunded june's bill which i had paid twice, but on their systems they said it refunded july's. so now I have an £80 ... Read morebill which I have technically already paid but they cut me off until i pay it. So really, £120 worth of bills has cost around £200. Rang earlier to sort it, and they said they will only refund me if i set up a direct debit, which i said was black mail and they said there was nothing they could do.

I can't believe how much stress this has caused! Does anyone know how I can get this sorted with Orange? I've tried ringing but what I'd ideally want to do is cancel my contract. For buying it out, do you reckon they can give me a buy out fee and I can pay that in smaller installments as opposed to in one go?
