Not having a dig, but if a mistake has been made, then yes its up to the manager, deputy etc to investigate.

Sorry to sound impolite but that is the kind of response that really annoys me and is the kind of response that I also have been getting from A&L on the phone. A&L have my money. And I have to pay to call an 0870 number. Usually (not always) to sort out probelms caused by them. The only reason people invest in A&L are their interest rates and unless they pull their finger out they will lose market share.

I was in a similar situation to the OP, I transferred my funds from my previous ISA provider, got a letter saying it had been done, then nothing appeared on my Direct ISA 2 Internet account.

Today however, it has all appeared in my account, but when you click on the details it shows the transfer occured on the 2nd May so there should be no loss in interest.

Maybe when the funds do eventually get to your account, look at the details of when it arrived. If there is still a large void then complain.
